BANG, BANG, YOU'RE DEAD - Part 3 Continued

Ed and Rosebud are quietly climbing the stairs. The only thing they can hear is the pigeons.

Vicky and Polly are with the dogs. The dogs pick up the scent of someone. Vicky informs Sgt. Ackland, who's watching the exits outside with Reg.

Rosie checks in a room off to one side. There's an open window, which she looks out of for some clue to where Sowerby might be.
Ed comes in. "Not going to jump are you?"
"Shut up!"

Over on the other side of the building, Dave and Luke aren't having much luck either.

Vicky's group has found someone. They follow the dogs who are giving chase, and Polly updates the other groups.

"Well let's go!" urges Luke, but Dave grabs his arm.
"Wait! Wait for a positive ID," he tells him.

The suspect runs out of the building, into the daylight. "I'm not sure it's the same bloke!" comments Polly.

Eddie and Rosie are on the roof. Ed begins to walk off. "Where are you off to?" Rosie asks.
"Going in for the kill!"
"We don't even know if it's Sowerby!" she shouts after him.
"Well, stay here if you want!"
"We're not supposed to separate, you stupid jerk!"
"Leave it out, Rosebud! I've had enough ticking offs from you to last a millennium!" He goes off down the steps.

Reg's got the prisoner, but Polly's right: it's not Sowerby.
"Why did you run away?" Reg questions him.
"I just wanted somewhere to doss!"
June updates everyone else.

"Told you!" Dave tells Luke. They keep on looking.

Meanwhile, Rosie is looking for either Sowerby or Ed. She doesn't notice Sowerby behind her on a higher ledge, holding an iron bar. He jumps on top of her knocking her over.
Ed hears her scream and runs back up the steps to find her. Dave' and Luke are not far behind him.
The three of them run onto the roof to find that Rosie's been taken hostage by Sowerby. He threatens her with the bar in his hand. "I want a fast car. No messing about, or I hurt her."
Ed's the closest. He turns his radio and tries to keep Sowerby talking while Dave radios down to Sgt. Ackland. June begins to make her way up to meet them. Sowerby sees Dave though. "What are you doing?"
"I'm just calling my Guvnor in. They've got to authorise the car," Dave answers.
"That's the problem, mate," Ed tells him. "The wheels turn slowly but we can deal with it. We just need to work out…"
"I want a vehicle. It doesn't take any working out!"
"Yeah, yeah. Sure, we hear you, and in a situation like this, what we try and do is cooperate as much as possible and reassure you that we're going to…" Ed sounds like he's swallowed one of Brownlow's textbook guides to policing!
Sowerby's not interested and interrupts him. "Quiet! How long?"
"Well, it's hard to say, mate, but in the mean time what we can do is…"
"I told you, just shut it!"
"Yeah, I'm nervous. It makes me talk!" Ed edges closer. "Now what I'm trying to do is…"
"I know what you're trying to do." He waves the bar at him. "Look, I could take her face off with this."
Suddenly Rosie elbows Sowerby in the stomach and runs to one side so that Eddie, Dave and Luke can rush in. After a bit of a chaotic struggle they handcuff him.
June arrives at the end of the mayhem. She goes over to Rosie who's leaning on the wall. "Rosie, are you alright? What happened?"
"I don't really know. Do you Rosie?" begins Ed.
"You don't know!" exclaims Rosie. "
"I was standing over there listening to Vicky on the radio and Rosie was like feet away."
"You walked away you let it happen!"
"What're you talking about Rosie?"
"I'm not letting you do this to me! Do you hear me, Eddie?" She ignores June who's trying to calm her down. "You listening, Eddie? You're not going to walk away from this. I not lying down for it anymore!" She walks off, leaving the others to just stare.
